Microsoft InfoPath enables you to design electronic forms for use in your business for example for expense claims, surveys and time sheets. InfoPath enables you to design and publish interactive, user friendly form templates. InfoPath form templates can be used on their own, or can be designed to work with existing data bases or web services.
Within the created forms users can check spelling, insert formatted text or graphics and merge data from a number of forms into a single form.
InfoPath can be used to collect data from the people whom you work with, including colleagues, partners, suppliers and customers. These forms can be uploaded to your web site to enable external users to supply information. Forms can even be filled in and updated via e-mails. InfoPath includes a number of features to prevent users from inputting incorrect data. For example the form can calculate mathematical values on their behalf.
InfoPath also support forms stored offline. The forms can be synchronised when the user connects to the network. InfoPath can also create multiple views of the same form, reducing the number of forms required. For example a manager's view may be different to an employees view.
