Microsoft 365 Price Increase & the New Commerce Experience
Recently, Microsoft announced the first substantial price increase to its licencing programs for over a decade. From 1st March 2022, Microsoft will be incorporating a price increase between 10% and 20% across all licencing programs*. Licence types affected include:
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic & Premium
- Office 365 E1 & E3
- Microsoft 365 E3
*The planned increase does not affect Education based licencing.
Alongside the price increase, Microsoft also announced the launch of the New Commerce Experience (NCE) for Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace licences. Already available via Microsoft Azure, NCE for Modern Workplace will be available from 14th October 2021.
As part of NCE customers will be able to subscribe to licences on a month-to-month, annual or multi-year basis. A blended approach will also be available.
The announcements will understandably cause some concern to Microsoft customers, however our experienced Microsoft specialists are on hand to help you understand what this means for your existing subscriptions, and what options are available to help mitigate the effects of the price increase and ensure your business is on the most suitable licencing model.
Nviron’s Microsoft Cloud Subscription services include:
