New 1-1 device rental scheme for students changes remote learning

In this everchanging digital world, no student can go without a laptop!
In 2019 there were 2.8 millions devices in schools in the UK, hitting 3.5 million in Spring 2020 and currently it’s at a staggering 7.2 million! At the end of 2022 it is estimated that there will be 10 million devices in schools & the majority of them will be via 1-1 Device Rental Schemes…
In 2020, when the pandemic hit schools had to adapt like never before and quickly had to adopt a new approach to remote learning. With students having to learn from home, this meant they needed the right devices to enable their learning could continue seamlessly, as if they were still in the classroom with their teacher and peers.
Having access to high quality, affordable devices is now a top priority for students across the board, in order to continue accessing education, even with the removal of pandemic restrictions, schools have realised more than ever that there are other circumstances that might mean remote learning is the best option. This blurs the boundaries of classroom and home, empowering students to continue learning from anywhere.
Working together with your educational organisation, Nviron’s Easy4U 1-1- laptop device scheme offers easy and affordable access to digital education. A purchase, rental or loan agreement is available directly with parents of students, teachers or the educational organisation with no credit check for parents required meaning the scheme is inclusive for all.
The special education laptops have sturdy housing, a rubber bumper, reinforced hinges, a moisture resistant protective cover and liquid repellent keyboard, to withstand the day-to-day wear and tear of student and home life. Students are provided with a substitute laptop during repairs, reducing student downtime and ensuring continuity of learning, and all service is provided via the educational organisations – reducing repair and service costs for parents. There is the possible option to take over the laptop at the end of the rental period, and if needed early termination is possible if the student leaves the education organisation.
Key benefits of the Easy4U scheme:
- No Credit Check for Parents – digital education & inclusivity for everyone
- Security – accidental damage & theft insurance
- Continuity – thanks to substitute laptops during repairs
- Convenience – a single point of contact for service
- Delivery & Support – collection at school & on-site support
